The Scans, 2025

The Scans is a limb of Fox’s larger work, Emergence. These works are created from unexposed Polaroid film that has been scratched, burned, popped, and then scanned and enlarged.

This section of Emergence nods to the gesture of the artist, reminding the audience that Fox’s body is present in this work. These scans emulate sensation, the body at its least decipherable.

This work was presented at the Vashon Gallery in May of 2025 as a part of Fox’s Emergence and their handmade collage book, Corpus.
